1954 Schwinn Streamliner

Total restoration of Family Heirloom bike belonging to a relative of customer.  This was a 100% ground up restoration on a 1954 Schwinn Streamliner bicycle that was in Barn Found shape and too rough to show or display as found.  Bike was restored in the original Blue Opalescent color over Ivory, correct Bottle Cap Schwinn pedals were found, along with correct saddle, NOS grips and missing Delta Rocket Ray light.  Parts used were all original period correct Schwinn parts aside from the Schwinn Anniversary 95′ Typhoon Tires which represent very well and were adequate replacements to the original factory rubber.  A practically “No Expense Spared” restoration on a Mid-range “D” model bicycle that just goes to show that even those lesser catalog models than Phantom, Panther, and “B” model lines, really made a statement of 50’s class during Schwinns pinnacle in the mid 1950’s and the ushering out of the Balloon tire bicycle era for Schwinn.
