This Radiant Green, 1955 Schwinn Corvette 3-speed is a rare B.F. Goodrich badged model. It differs from Schwinn branded bikes by its badge and tires. The original tires were B.F. Goodrich Silvertown whitewalls, but they have been replaced with reproduction Schwinn Westwind whitewalls. The rest of the bike is all original except for the seat, which is a period correct Troxel replacement. The original seat on early Schwinn middleweight bikes were sewn two-tone fabric, and they frequently came apart, so very few survive today. I’d like to find a correct seat for it someday, along with an original headlight. If you know of any that are available, please let me know!
