    Based on the crank number, AS 37 I believe I own a 1937 Schwinn. Is there anyway to tell definitively whether it is a Motorbike or an Autocycle? The head badge is missing. It does not have a tank but looks very similar to the bike in the picture. For example, the chain guard is exactly like this one. The serial number is R59875. Thanks for any info.

      Mike; Who did you take you bike to fore basic paint? Are you doing the detail painting? I have one of them also, and thinking of reduing it including rechroming. Would be nice to hear from you. loooks great. Thanks P.S. where did you find the serial num?
