1938 Huffman Built, Airflyte Twin-Flex – “Death Bike”

…stories as to how this bike earned it’s name and who named it. To the best of our knowledge this bike was so named because it was recalled by Huffman which led Firestone to turn to Colson as a bicycle supplier. This was a financial disaster for Huffman who had been the sole supplier for Firestone up to this time. This is the only example of the “Deathbike” known to exist. 1936-1937 LaFrance Super-Streamline – Huffman Built

…;s a rare one! This Streamliner is owned/restored by Nathan Pence and was painted by Dave Stromberger. Built by Huffman Mfg. Co. and badged as a LaFrance, this streamlined, art-deco styled bicycle was a top-of-the-line machine, even though it didn’t feature a tank. 1940 Huffman Twin-Flex “Big Tank” Champion pair

Here is an outstanding pair of “Big Tank” Huffman built Twin-Flex bicycles. The men’s bicycle is a Firestone “Air-Flex” and features the headlight that are built into the tank. 1940 Huffman Champion Model 13 Ladies

Very rare and desirable ladies “big tank” with the welded on kickstand. Top of the line with stainless steel tank and chainguard inserts, lit tank, and lit rack in original “Buick blue” and ivory paint with red pinstriping. Morrow hub of J4 (last quarter of ’39) evidences and early production and is speculated that the early models as this have the grill nose piece as opposed to the strip. 1937 Huffman National Streamliner

Here is my 1937 National made by Huffman super streamline bicycle, it’s got the misty blue paint with red en cream handmade pin-stripes.
