1939 Iver Johnson Ladies Bicycles

This Iver Johnson balloon tire bike, is as original as they get! This bike looks nearly brand new. It has not been restored in any way. The tires are even the original Vitalic brand. Notice the immitation wood-grain painted rims, a feature unique to Iver Johnson bicycles. The dash-board, which contains a speedometer and a clock is only found on bicycles built by Westfield (Columbia), but very often dealerships would add accessories to bicycles at the buyers request, or to help sell a bike. The owner of the bike, Mike Lyonais bought it from a family who had owned it since new. The bike was originally sold by the Pal Bike Shop in Detroit Michigan and still has its original dealer decal on the seat tube to prove it. What a great find!
